Hi Team，

The engineers are doing PMA test. 

They modify the corresponding values 0x2000/0x4000/0xA000 through USB-2-MDIO tool to enter test mode 1/2/5

But DUT doesn't seem to be emitting the waveform we want. You can refer attachment.

They want to know how to make DUT(DP83TC812EVM) send corresponding signal, is there any other test command?

  Test items：

  • Transmitter Clock Frequency
  • Transmitter Timing Jitter-MDI Jitter
  • Transmitter Timing Jitter Master and Slave
  • Transmitter Power Spectral Density
  • Transmitter Output Droop
  • Transmitter Peak Differential Output
  • Transmitter Distortion

    Hi Hailiang,

    To configure test modes using USB-2-MDIO tool, the following needs to be done

    1. Write 0x000D = 0x0001
    2. Write 0x000E = 0x0836
    3. Write 0x000D = 0x4001
    4. Write 0x000E = 0x2000 (for Test mode 1) (for other test modes replace 0x2000 with 0x4000 or 0x8000 or 0xA000)

    Please check if this configuration is done right.
