TCAN4550: Question of board rate test

Hi Expert,

The customer would like to conduct the test of CAN Bus communication with their DUT from TCAN4550.

And the engineer would like to confirm below question firstly:

Can TCAN4550 set to fixed board rate (Maximum/minimum) from Software ?
Can TCAN4550 fixed requirement on 11898-2 only ?
How about the step can I send a stream or data?

Hi Eric,

I would recommend using the BOOSTXL-CANFD-LIN BoosterPack along with the MSP-EXP430FR6989 LaunchPad Development Kit. Demo firmware has been developed for these boards that can be used for your testing purpose. By default the code configures the TCAN4550 bit timing to 500kbps Nominal and 2Mbps Data rates but you can modify the bit timing and add a while loop to send and receive messages in a loop to create a stream of data.

I would also suggest reviewing the TCAN45xx Software User's Guide for additional information on how to make adjustments to the bit timing parameters.
