Having problem with TUSB3410 VCP driver on 64-bit PC

Hello Dylan,

                Could you please try using the latest installer? you can download it from http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tusbwinvcp.html the latest driver supports XP, Vista and Win7 32 and 64 bits.

                Please let me know your comments.

I just downloaded the zipped file and was about to decompress it when I noticed that the file size was exactly the same (to the byte as checked in "Properties") as the one I tried last month. Have you guys updated the driver code since mid-July when I tried it? I would think the slightest change in the compile would result in a byte count difference.

                 I have try to reproduce the issue in vista 64-bit but the driver is installing without problem. Could you please provide us more information about the issue scenario and what is the error message that you are getting?, also could you please send me the installation steps that you are following in order to reproduce the issue at our end? If that's possible could you please try in a fresh system?

i have already used the same driver and modified. the driver is working when i connect with my GUI. but when i disconnect and reconnect it back it stops working. says USB not recognized. the problem occurs randomly 6 out 10 times.

 Are you able to see the same behavior without your GUI? I just want to know if the problem is only present using your GUI?

we are testing without the GUI also the same problem repeats

Testing procedure :

1. Both drivers files are uninstalled in 32 and 64 bit OS systems
2. New fresh drivers installed   once again.
3. We are using USB port  cable for device to pc communication
4. Device driver files are installed successfully .
5. We are testing same device in both 32 bit and 64 bit OS system
6. In 32 bit OS system drivers are working fine.(continues plug and play method more then 20 times)
7. But win 7 64 bit OS , same device is not connected properly.
8. We  are facing 2 kinds of problem
   1. Usb device not recognized

                     b. The best  driver software for your device  is  already installed, but device is not connected (Port number also is not showing)

                We can’t successfully reproduce the issue at our end using our TUSB3410 EVM board, I just wondering what kind of device are you connecting to the TUSB3410?  Also could you please provide us your device’s schematic in order to perform a sanity check?

Dear Sreedhar,

 We have been unable to reproduce the problem at our end using our TUSB3410 EVM board we have tried using several systems without luck. I wondering if you have been able to reproduce this issue in a fresh system?

 Our hardware engineers have take a look on your schematic to perform a sanity check and they are making the following recommendations:

1) Please change the R24 value for a 90.9K ohms resistor. It will help to reach the required 1.8V. 2) Could you please disconnect  the TUSB3410 PUB (pin # 5) and just leave it as "Not connected", and directly connect R3 to 3.3V.

we have used the same drivers as listed in TI website expect doing modification in the Common-32/ common-64 folders in "usbuart3410.inf" file.

Hello Ramkumar,

 If you modified the INF files the Windows Hardware Certification signature'll be lost. Windows 7 64-bit blocks the installation of unsigned drivers,  could you please try starting the system using the "Disable signature enforcement" mode pressing F8 during the system's startup in order to use an unsigned driver on these operating systems. And verify if the problem still present.

                      and one more doubt for this your comment, In case we are using this solution(Driver signature deactivation),every login time must deactivate Driver sign? or only one time deactivate it?
