The TXD input can accept 3.3 V signals.
The RXD pin outputs 5 V; the TMS320F28377D will not work with this. You could insert a buffer with overvoltage-tolerant input (e.g., SN74AHC1G125), or use a 3.3 V CAN transceiver (e.g., TCAN334).
