DP83867IR: Help take a look at the following questions for DP83867

Part Number: DP83867IR

1, for full duplex, our circuit has no pull-up and down resistors, which is equivalent to the state of mode1.
Is this state a full-duplex state by default?

2. About self-negotiation status confirmation
To turn on auto-negotiation, do I have to follow the settings in mode3?
In addition, please ask what state does N/A refer to in mode1?

  • Hi Xiaofu,

    • Mode 1 means default value. Leaving the pin open without any pull up and pull down resistor on RX_D5 pin is full duplex mode.
    • We don't recommend people leave the strapping on N/A mode. We recommend customer always go with either 0 or 1 mode.

  • We are configuring the MODE0 mode according to TI's recommendations, but it is still measured in the state of full duplex and half duplex, may I ask, is there any other setting that will have an impact? Is there anything else wrong with this test?

  • Hi Xiaofu,

I am not able to read the image which you shared. What do you mean by "still measured in the state of full duplex and half duplex". Do you want to use full duplex or half duplex?

You may read back register 0x6E, bit[8] to see if half duplex is enabled.

    Thanks,
