The 600S is single-channel, and customer design requirements are dual-channel. So can customers use two 600S to design dual channels? We have also looked for other dual-channel ICs, but the temperature does not meet the requirements, the customer requires the operating temperature of -40 °C to 85 °C, and the current material of 600s meets the requirements. So customers want to know if the 600s can be used for dual-channel differential designs? The datasheet has a description of the dual-channel application, but does not detail the specific application and reference scheme of the dual-channel

Hi Aiwen,

Yes you can use two SN75LVCP600S.

Also please note you can consider using a single DS64BR111 for this application as well. This may meet temperature range and other requirements.

Hi Iwen,

DS64BR111 is controlled or configured using pin settings and it is protocol agnostic. Therefor it means it can be used under linux or windows environments.

There are other issues that need your help，When my customer tested theSN75 LVCP600s, the terminal still did not recognize the Linux system，they want to know how to hort-circuit.，such as following datasheet

The following picture is how we currently short-connect the line, The cable is ESATA to ESATA，But the host does not recognize the hard disk and Linux system，please help to check it Whether the shorting is correct。

Hi Aiwen,

1). Please note EVM schematic in the EVM user guide. Pin numbers of the headers such as JMP2 and others are shown. Also typically when you look at the pcb pin 1 should be a squared pattern. This helps to identify pins 2 & 3 as well. Using this knowledge, then you can configure jumper settings as noted in table 1 of the EVM user guide.

2). Please make sure JMP4 is set properly. Additionally please start or use default settings for EQ and DE(GND).

If you are still having problem getting EVM to work, please send us a block diagram of your setup. Also, you can use high impedance scope probe to understand what could be causing this issue.

My customer follows the user manual. Linux systems are still not recognized.The main control board and the hard disk are directly connected, which can correctly identify the hard disk and enter the system. Add this driver chip that cannot be identified, what is the reason?

Hi Aiwen,

SN75LVCP600S is controlled pin settings. Based on your comments, i believe pins EQ(pin5) and DE(pin 9) needs to be tuned. If these tuning of these two signals do not help, then we may need to set SQ_TH(pin 10) appropriately. Please setup scope and monitor TX(pins 8&7) so we can monitor and understand what is failing.
