TUSB1002: Operation at Low Temperatures

Hi team,

The TUSB1002RGET (USB3.1 linear driver) has a symptom of USB disconnection when a quenching agent is used.

In this device, when operated at low temperatures, the following symptoms were observed
Degradation of signal waveforms (smaller amplitude)
The port potential of the Floating hardware setting pin changes, and the setting dynamically switches during operation.
Do problems such as the following occur?

Sorry, no actual measurements.
I sprayed the quenching agent for 1.5 seconds when the board was about 45 degrees Celsius.
(The quenching agent is 100% HFC-134a.)

Hi Ryu,

The quenching agent is not qualified for reliability. Please refer to reliability information in TI website (Link) If it is not operated by the temperature-controlled device, it may damage or not operate the device features. Note that the operating temperature range is from 0 to 70 as below.

Hi Ryu,

We don't expect the desired features if temperature is out of our scope. That is why we put the recommended operating conditions in the datasheet.
