DS90UB953-Q1: Cable

Hi Team,

I understand from the E2E thread below that cables we use for DS90UB953-Q1EVM are  DACAR462 and DACAR302. A customer uses DACAR300 and has issues with the data rate. Our customer customer would like to know if you have experience with this cable.

    Hi Danilo,

    What do you mean by issues with the data rate? I suggest looking at insertion loss and return loss specs in the DACAR300 cable datasheet and comparing to the DACAR462 and DACAR302. If the DACAR300 characteristics are significantly worse then it may not work with FPD-Link devices.

    Hi Lucas,

    Thank you for your response. Please see the comment of our customer below.

    The information I have is that the video signal is problematic when the power over coax current is at 200mA. If the current is only 150mA the signal is good.
    Our customer is asking if another cable could solve the issue. But I will look in the datasheets as you suggested.
