Hello support team,
My customer asks if TCA9617A can accept I2C master on side B and slave on side A, could you confirm? They use VCCA < VCCB. All figure on datasheet shows master on side A, they would like to confirm.
Thanks,
Koji Ikeda

Hi Koji,
I agree with Clemens here. I2C is a bidirectional protocol. Master device can be present on side B or side A. Slave device can be present on side B or side A. Voltage levels for VCCA and VCCB need to be respected as listed in the recommended operating conditions found in the datasheet regardless of the master/slave position.
