Hi team,

My customer want to find the high speed switch product whose requirements are as follows:

Application: LCD test instrument, on high-speed video signals (differential), DP.
Function: Choose one between signal source/open short circuit detection(2V 1mA) and screen, select the signal source to touch the screen, or select the open short circuit detection module to test the connection of the signal link.
Rate: The current rate that needs to be supported is 8.1Gbps, 20Gbps products is developing, It is best for the product to be compatible with both rates (8.1Gbps/20Gbps)

Could you help recommend a suitable device that can support DP, DC supply(2V/1mA), 8.1GHz.

I recommended TMUXHS4412 before to use in DP(8.1GHz) and open/short circuit test(2V/1mA).

But it can not input 2V 1mA, right?

How to judge if the device can take 2V 1mA DC power.in input pin

Hi Brian,

For the device(HD3SS3411) in previous generation product as an example:

Open-short test: Input 2V/1mA voltage from I/V DAC to MIPIA_OS_DN0 pin.

It is expected that 2V/1mA voltage is output from MIPI_A_DN0 to LCD, while other pins of HD3SS3411 can’t sense the 2V/1mA voltage.

HD3SS3411 is single channel device.

In the new generation product, the device need 4 differential input channels and faster speed for higher resolution.

So the socket requirement is :

4 differential input channels
Support DP signal, 8.1GHz
Support open-short test

There are no termination on MIPI_A_DN0.

I am not sure if I am make you follow me correctly that how is open-short circuit working. If you have any question about it please let me know.

So their last generation product was using HD3SS3411. It can support open-short test, but it only includes one differential channel

But the device need 4 differential channel on the new generation product, and support DP signal, 8.1GHz and open-short test

Could you help recommend a suitable one device. It is emergency...

There is 20k between P and N for TMUXHS4412 that's why customer saw voltage on differential pin P or N.

HD3SS3412 is similar to HD3SS3411 and can support 8.1Gbps DP, but better to do open/short test before using it.

We don't have any MUX to support mipi C phy, Pls check TMUX646 from other group.
