TCA9539-Q1: with 3 address bits

Part Number: TCA9539-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA9535, TS5A23157-Q1, TCA9548A-Q1, TCA6408A-Q1, TCAL9539-Q1,

Hi,

please suggest part with the same specifications & standards with having of 3 address bits

thanks in advance

  • The TCA9535 replaces the reset input with a third address pin. But it does not have automotive qualification.

You could separate bus segments with an I²C switch like the TCA9548A-Q1 (8 channels) or a general-purpose switch like the TS5A23157-Q1 (requires a separate GPIO control signal).

  • Need to comply these 2

AEC-Q100 (Grade 1): Qualified for automotive applications • Functional Safety-Capable

  • TEMC,

Our only automotive grade 1 functional safety capable IO expanders are the TCAL9539-Q1, TCA6408A-Q1, and TCA9539-Q1. All of these devices have <3 address pins with the 6408A only having one address pin.

Clemens suggested a possible solution. There could be a separate bus segment with an I2C switch (TCA9548-Q1) or general purpose switch (TS5A23157-Q1) to help with lack of address pins. Of course the addition of these devices will require separate GPIO control signals.

    Regards,
