Hi,teams.

I want to use the SWAP function of the TMDS 171.

If I want to make the following connections, should I set the SWAP pin to High?

TMDS_clk- → IN_D2p(Port)
TMDS_clk+ → IN_D2n(Port)
TMDS_D0- → IN_D1p(Port)
TMDS_D0+ → IN_D1n(Port)
TMDS_D1- → IN_D0p(Port)
TMDS_D1+ → IN_D0n(Port)
TMDS_D2- → IN_CLKp(Port)
TMDS_D2+ → IN_CLKn(Port)

The TMDS171 output is fixed, it is the input that gets swapped as shown below.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I understood that it is possible to set only inputs to swap.

Am I correct in understanding that if I want to swap the polarity as well, I should set port 1 (SWAP/POL) to High?

Correct. But Pin 1 controls both the lane swap and polarity function when TMDS171 is in the pin-strap mode. So if you set the Pin 1 high, you will have the polarity flipped but lane order will be normal. If you set Pin 1 low, then polarity will be normal but lane order will be flipped.

If you need to have individual control of polarity and lane order, then you will have to put TMDS171 in the I2C mode.

Also polarity control only works in re-timer mode, it does not work in re-driver mode.
