Hi, TI support team

SN65HVD51DR is confirmed as a Scheduled Discontinuance item.

Please recommend a product that can be replaced with pin to pi

    The suggested replacement is the THVD1451. It is not labelled as "high output", but at 5 V, its typical drive strength is actually higher than that of the SN65HVD51.

    Hi MJ,

    The THVD1551 is the replacement - (THVD1451 could also work - but generally the more cost effective option is THVD1551). Both of these devices have similar to slightly higher to VOD from the SN65HVD51 so even though they are not labeled high output they should be about the same (assuming 5V supplies)

    The THVD1551 is not available in the SOIC package.

    Yes - I see that now, Thanks Clemens for correcting me.

    We need to change our recs. on our page as it points to the THVD1551.

    MJ - the THVD1451 is pin to pin in SOIC and will meet the needs of the system when replacing SN65HVD51-our product page is pointing to the THVD1551 as its the most electrically similar device but it uses the DGK (VSSOP) package - but in the same pin arrangement.
