Hello,

I am looking at bi-directional EIA/RS485 Bus Repeater, capable of 250kHz transmission rate.

We are using SN75178BP, we need a Direction-Sensing circuit to control the Bidirectional Repeater. See diagram below.

Do you have parts/IC which can be used as Bidirectional Repeater and has Direction-sensing capability?

Do you also have Application Notes about this?

Did you come across any direction-sensing circuit?

Is SN74AVC2T872 the sensing IC that what my customer is looking at?

I come across an applicaiton notes from NS at per attached.

Can I check do we have any application notes on this?

I cannot find it over our web pages.

No, unfortunately we do not have a direction-sensing RS485 transceiver, adn solving this discretely is consuming too many ICs and too much PCB space.
