DS90UB941AS-Q1: Analog launchpad doesn't start

Part Number: DS90UB941AS-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP, USB2ANY

I would like to use the Analog Launchpad tool to configure the DS90UB941AS device.

But for some reason the tools does not work:

I used Procmon to understand what happens. It's looks like a file is missing:

Can one of you instruct me how to solve this?

  • Hi Jan,

Thank you for reaching out. Did you run the ALP Profile Update file as well? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling ALP?

    Thanks,

    Kate

  • Yes, I downloaded and installed the latest version from the website:

Good to know I had a older version on my PC. That version, I don't know the version, works without issues.

But after the update it does not work and I don't have a copy of the older installer. Is it possible to download it from the TI website?

  • Hi Jan,

As clarification, is it the newest ALP install that caused it to stop working or is it the ALP-PROFILE-UPDATE install that caused it to stop working?

    A few additional questions:

    1. What version of Windows are you using?
    2. Is ALP working ok when you start without any hardware connected? In this case it should come up in demo mode, and you should be able to choose different profiles using the demo mode setup under Tools.
    3. Are you using the EVM or an external USB2Any board? The 941EVM comes with built in USB2ANY

    Thanks,

    Kate
