SN75113: The replacement for SN75113.

Guru 10385 points
Part Number: SN75113
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75115, THVD1550

Hi team,

I am looking for a replacement for SN75113.
Since the other party will be SN75115, a specification that allows communication with SN75115 is required.
Please introduce an alternative device.

Sincerely.
Kengo.

  • The SN75115 requires a differential input voltage of ±0.5 V, which is more than the minimum specified by RS-422/RS-485, but it will work with such transmitters.

There is no pin-to-pin replacement for the SN75113. I'd recommend two modern transceivers, e.g. THVD1550/20/05/00 (depending on the required data rate).

  • Hi Kengo,

There is no direct replacement for the SN75113 - and that is the device that you use with SN75115. I'd strongly suggest that you urge customers to upgrade more modern transceivers as these parts are 50 years old and finding legacy support is going to be more difficult. The devices Clemens mentioned are good places to start - as there isn't really a direct upgrade that will be fully compliant with the SN75115.

    Best,

    Parker Dodson
