SN65DSI83: LVDS output issue

Hi support team.

Our customer have critical issue that LVDS output doesn't out.

There is no problem with the clock output, but some or all of the data lines are not output.
This phenomenon occurs once in several tens of times when the startup is repeated.

Below is what the customer confirmed.
・The sequence on page 16 of the data sheet (Table 7-2. Initialization Sequence) is being executed.
・After the problem occurs (LVDS output is not done), it will not be normalized even if you execute the following in the data sheet.

I'm not sure why this happens and am very urgent to resolve.
Could you please help me to solve it?

I confirmed with my customer.

1. It was not in the LP11 state at SEQ2 in the initial startup sequence.(Please see below)
"However, even in this state, startup is performed without problems. There is a problem that output is not output about once every 10 times. Is this the cause of the issue?"

2. In test pattern mode, LVDS line data is output without any problem.

What else can we check to help resolve the issue?

Hi Higa,

Please ensure you are following the initialization sequence according to the datasheet. The initialization sequence must be followed every time in order for the device to function properly. Proper device operation cannot be guaranteed if the initialization sequence is not followed exactly.

Please ensure you are configuring the registers correctly as well, you can use the DSI tuner software to help: https://www.ti.com/tool/DSI-TUNER.

Thank you for answering.

I understood.

I tried to install the DSI tuner as per your advice, but I get an error and cannot install it.
When I checked it, the license of Java is commercial and another contract is required, so I can't get the license.
Therefore DSI tuner cannot be installed.
Can you suggest another best way?

The application needs Java 1.6 to work, so please download and install Java first: http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=44457
