Hi Team,

I'd like to ask you about the function of DISABLE DSI. There is the function table of DISABLE DSI on strap configuration MODE_SEL1(Table 8-10), please explain about the details, when DISABLE DSI(1 or 0) are used?

Howdy!

When DISABLE_DSI = 0, DSI is enabled. When DISABLE_DSI = 1, DSI is disabled. DSI has to be disabled in order to configure the DSI inputs. Please refer to this snippet from table 8-8 of the data sheet.

Hi Holly,

I already reviewed MODE SEL[1:0] setting of the datasheet. It says that DISABLE DSI[1] is a recommended strap option as any configuration of DSI inputs needs to be done while the inputs are disabled. So is DSI input enabled automatically after the configuration of DSI inputs have been done?

Jeffrey,

DSI input is not automatically enabled after configuration. You will need to disable DSI, configure your inputs and then enable DSI. You can enable DSI by writing to the shown register or by changing the mode strap. There is an example in section 8.4.5.1 - 8.4.5.3 that can be helpful.
