Hi everyone.
I need to design a test board that tests a notebook's USB C signals without pulling and plugging the turned cable.
The signals and the Vbus go to a USB A 3.0 with pen drive to test the correct reading of the files.
Is it possible, as the attached block diagram, to force the CC1 and CC2 positions and swap the TUSB1142 mux by reading the two CTX/CRX lines without extracting the cable?

You still need CC controller to decide cable direction to control MUX.

Hi Brian, thanks for reply.. but with controller like TPS25820, I can't swap connections, the controller decide where to switch the mux...
The usb C cable male to male has both CC1 and CC2 connections, with the two switches I can decide where to have de 5k1 resistor and therefore where to have the TX/RX path. Is this solution possible?

you can if just pull down CC1 or CC2, then one direction of Cable will work.
