TCAN1057A-Q1: can replace the TJA1051T/E?

Part Number: TCAN1057A-Q1

Hi Sir,

TCAN1057A-Q1 and TJA1051T/E both devices are different on the pin-5.

May I know if there have a CAN transceiver device that can replace the TJA1051T/E? or if TCAN1057A-Q1 can replace the TJA1051T/E directly?

    Henry,

    The standard 8-pin CAN pinout that our transceivers use implements VIO on pin 5 (or just no-connect). There are some other variants that use features like SHDN here, but the TCAN1057A-Q1 does not. You are correct that the TCAN1057A-Q1 and TCAN1057AV-Q1 correlate to TJA1051, but pin 5 will either be no-connect or VIO.
