TFP401A operation at 165Mhz in 24-bit and 48-bit mode, product longevity (EOL)

Are there any issues with running the TFP401A at 165Mhz in either 24-bit or 48-bit modes?  Are there other customers that have done this successfully?  What is the production longevity of this device?  Will there be plans to EOL this part within the next 5 years?

    Hi Jimmy,

    You can use the TFP401A at 165MHz, and countless implementers have used this device over the last decade.  Note that in 48-bit mode, the output clock is half the frequency.  There are no plans for EOL, and TI generally continues to sell and support devices as long as implementers buy them.
