Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDS181
Dear Sir,
Just like the tittle, does the DP159 work at the sink side? I want to use dp159 at source side and sink side, DP181 is more power consumption than DP159.
Best regards
David

With HDMI being a DC-coupled, and DP159 input requires to be AC-coupled, you would need 50ohm to 3.3V between the HDMI connector and AC coupling capacitor on the three TMDS Data and Clock lane. So the connection will be
HDMI Connector --- 50ohm termination to 3.3V --- AC coupling cap --- DP159
Please note this 50ohm termination to 3.3V will create a double termination network and incoming signal amplitude will be cut in half. So you may need to adjust the signal amplitude to compensate for the amplitude reduction.
With TMDS181, you do not need the external 50ohm termination to 3.3V or AC coupling caps.
Thanks
David
