TUSB9261: Default VID/PID for TUSB9261

Hello, e2e members,

We are trying to use the TUSB9261.
If we use this device in our product, will it be possible to recognize the default VID/PID by writing "TUSB926x_FW_v1.06.bin" to the firmware?
Or do I need to obtain the VID/PID separately?

Hello,

The default VID/PID for this part is Texas Instrument's VID that is registered with the USB-IF organization. You may register one yourself here: Getting a Vendor ID | USB-IF

The default VID/PID should be recognized by the system, as it does with the TUSB9261DEMO Evaluation board. In production, customers frequently want to change the VID/PID to their own. They may do this by modifying the firmware using the TUSB9260 Flash Burner as described in section 4.3.
