SN65DP141: Port to Pin mapping for S-parameter model

Part Number: SN65DP141

The S Parameter Models found at: https://www.ti.com/product/SN65DP141#design-tools-simulation have no Port to Pin Mapping specified. It's not clear what ports correspond to input output and their polarity P/N.

For example, sometimes S-parameter models have a readme.txt specifying this or the mapping is in comments in the S parameter file.

Thanks,

David

    Here is the port mapping.

With the lab measurement, the DP141 DC_GAIN and AC_GAIN are set through the RX_GAIN pin and there are only three possible RX_GAIN levels -> High, Low, and Hi-Z.

Table 8-2 lists the DC_GAIN and AC_GAIN associated with each level of RX_GAIN as shown below. I mapped the DC_GAIN and AC_GAIN setting with the actual value.

The only one I see missing from the s-parameter model is the last one on the list, but that is just changing the linearity range between 600mV (VOD = 0) and 1200mV (VOD =1)

So you can use the VOD = 0 s4p for your simulation and make sure the input signal amplitude stays within the 600mV linearity range to simulate the DP141 RX response.

    Thanks
