Hello Experts:
The block diagram of our system is as follows：a

ds90ub948s I2C have the same address 0x34,and displays also have the same address 0xA0.

Can soc access them independently?Is this a reasonable design solution? thanks.

I'm a little confused about this register，TX_PORT_SEL Register (Address = 0x1E) ，What does the primary I2C Address and The second I2C address refer to here?

Hi Zhu,

You can access them independently, but you will need to program the devices aliases for each port in order to access each DES. You can do this either by using the TX_PORT_SEL register and change the PORTX_SEL bits manually every time you need to write to the other device, or you can set the slave alias for each DES and essentially treat them as having separate addresses.

As for your question about the primary vs secondary addresses, the secondary address allows you to access the registers on the device that is connected to port 1 separately, without accessing anything on port 0. The primary address is the normal stock device address that would be used to access a devices registers.
