TCA9509: VCCB PU question

Hi Expert,

We have the VCCA1.8V,VCCB3.3V design for TCA9509, is it ok to remove the port B PU of SDA/SCL if the device side have internal PU(2.36k) for SDA/SCL?

It does not matter whether the pull-ups are external or internal.

Hey Far,

This configuration should be OK as long as the desired data rate/ power consumption requirements are met. Please also refer to I2C Bus Pull-Up Resistor Calculation for more information.
