DS320PR810: about application

Hi,

If my PCIE riser card is Gen5 16CH. Is it can use x2 DS320PR810? 

Or only can use DS320PR1601 x1? Becasue  it may big price gap.

    Hi Jeff,

    DS320PR1601 has 32 channels - meaning it supports 16-PCIe lanes(16 TX differential lanes and another 16 RX differential pair). Therefor for Gen5 X 16, we need just one DS320PR1601 device. 

    On the other hand, DS320PR810 has 8 channels only. Therefor to support Gen5 X 16, we need four of these devices - 2 X DS320PR810 for TX and another 2 X DS320PR810 for RX.
