Hi expert,

My customer is finding a solution of MIPI-DSI to RGB in windows system.

I found a discussion that we could use SN65DSI83/84/85 and SN65LVDS82 to achieve this function.

Because customer will operate the system in windows, we are wondering does SN65DSI83/84/85 and SN65LVDS82 need windows driver? Or could it work directly without any driver in windows?

There is no Win Driver for DSI83/84/85 and SN65LVDS82, but DSI83/84/85 need to be programmed through I2C access.

So could customer still use DSI83/84/85 and SN65LVDS82 in windows system and just control them through I2C? It's still could work without window driver, is it correct?

Both DSI83/84/85 and SN65LVDS82 are independent of the Windows system and there are no drivers for them. But DSI83/84/85 need to be programmed through I2C access first.
