DP83867IR: LED Blink Settings

Part Number: DP83867IR

Hi all,

Please tell me about LED0 output settings of DP83867IRPAPR.
According to the data sheet, setting the LED Configuration Register 1 (LEDCR1)[3:0] to "1011" enables blinking output during transmission and reception as Link established, blink for transmit or receive activity.

However, even if the register value is set to "1011", the output will not be blinking and will be in a constant lighting state. Are there any other registers or hardware settings that need to be set to make LED0 blink output (pulse output)?

If there is a description on the data sheet, it would be helpful if you could also let me know the page.

Best regards,

Hiroshi

  • Hi Hiroshi,

    Can you please probe RX_D* and TX_D* signals of the PHY to check if there is activity on the MAC lines?

  • HI Gokul-san,

    Sorry for the late confirmation.

    I attach the data measured by the customer and the comments.

    ==============================================================================

    Although the waveform looks distorted due to probing, it is confirmed to be 1000Base-T 4D-PAM5 code.
    Please check the attached waveform data.

    ==============================================================================

    There may be a problem with register settings, so it would be helpful if you could tell me the procedure.

    Best regards,
    Hiroshi

  • Hi Hiroshi,

    I meant if there is activity on RX_D0, RX_D1, RX_D2, RX_D3, TX_D0, TX_D1, TX_D2, TX_D3.

    If there is activity, these signals toggle and LED should also toggle.
