DP83869HM: routing for RJ45 ethernet connector is flipped between EVM and Datasheet

Part Number: DP83869HM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83869

Hi Team,

can you advise on the customer question below. It seems that datasheet design and EVM design differ, what is the correct routing for the RJ45 connector:

During the circuit design review of the Fibre Optic development (media converter from 100Base-TX to FX) with the DP83869HM device, I noticed another discrepancy in the data sheet for the evaluation board.

Since we only need 100Mbps, I did the following wiring as described in the datasheet. TD_P_A,TD_M_A wired to PIN1,2 via Magnetics, TD_P_B, TD_M_P wired to PIN3,6 to RJ45. Since only 100Mbps is used TD_P_C and TD_M_C

and the D signals are not wired.

But in the schematic of the evaluation board and in the layout TD_A_P etc. is wired to PIN 8 and 7 to RJ45. So all signals are completely reversed which also makes routing easier.
