The FAQ above seems to suggest it should be backwards compatible.

Hi Sri,

Sorry for the delay. Yes, TLIN1028 is compliant with all of these older LIN standards. The changes from these versions do not impact the physical layer of the LIN standard, so no updates on the transceiver-side are needed.
