DP83867E: DP83867E Compliance Test Fail

Hi Experts,

There are two DP83867 on my board, and design are almost the same. 

For compliance test one port is pass, but the other one is fail.

The fail items are Template Point D and Peak Point D.

Test data are attached, could you please give us suggestions?

    Hi Willson,

    From the report you have shared, I see the results are marginal. The Template D test looks like it can be passed by adjusting the mask. Please move the mask up and to the right, and let me know if it is passing.

    Since the results are very marginal, there is no expected change in functionality or throughput.

    As your suggestion, move mask up and right, is that mean adjust the DP83867 register?

    Could you please share more details with how to move the mask?

    Hi Willson,

    The oscilloscope will fit the mask to the curve. It appears that it did not do a good job fitting (if the grey mask is moved to the right, it appears the curve will pass). Please look for an option on the oscilloscope to adjust the mask. Or run the test again and the scope may fit the mask better this time.
