TCA9555: I2C clock stretching

Hi Team,

My customer has a question.

The other devices that uses same I2C bus as TCA9555 is required for I2C clock stretching .

Clock stretching doesn't affect the operation of TCA9555?. TCA9555 work properly?

The TCA9555 does not generate clock stretching, and it does not care what other devices on the bus do.

Hi Shoo,

As Clemen's pointed out, clocking stretching is not a concern to TCA9555. It also does not have an NFET on the SCL pin of the device so it cannot generate a clock stretch event.
