SN65HVD96 with isolation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO3086T, SN65HVD96, ISO7241C

Dear,

do you have any idea in order to realize a circuit that implementing cross wire immunity of (SN65HVD96) and the 2KV isolation of ISO3086T ?

I mean, do you have a simple isolator with trasformer driver ? My idea is to use a SN65HVD96 and then isolated the A-B line of RS485 with a bidirectional isolator with transofrmer driver inside...

Is it possible?

BR,

Giordano

  • While we don't provide isolation transformers, there is an easy way to isolated the HVD96 via a digital isolator on the single-ended side, or the control side, of the transceiver.

Between your controller or UART and the HVD96 control terminals simply insert a standard quad isolators ISO7241C.

    I hope this helps.

    regards,
