Hi,

Are there any concerns in terms of meeting Serializer requirements (Trise, Tfall, etc) if we need to use SiT8924BAB73-18E-36.000000 or MC2016K36.0000C16EST ?

PCLK is 36MHz

Hello,

Are you using External Oscillator Mode or Pixel Clock from Imager as Reference Clock Mode?

Besides choosing an oscillator with a suitable frequency and stability, we also recommend qualifying the jitter of the reference clock source for the 933 device.

Hi Justin,

Pls see the attached schematics. Oscillator enable is controlled by imager and output is connected to Ser CLK.

Imager PCLK is connected to SER PCLK.

I am concerned about the trise and tfall. Do these oscillators meet your serializer requirement?

Hello Nandini,

It seems you are using External Oscillator Mode. If a 36MHz oscillator is used as the reference clock for the 933 device, it will output half that frequency on the CLKOUT pin which can be used as a reference clock for the imager.

I do not have access to the datasheets for the oscillators that you have listed, but you can reference the DS90UB933-Q1EVM for an example of the oscillator used.
