DS91M125: Max PCB Trace Length

Hello, I am working on a backplane design that interfaces with a plug-in card that generates an M-LVDS clock output. The backplane will bus the signal to several payload slots. I would like to know if TI has an recommendation for generating max trace length constraints during layout. Any feedback is appreciated.

Hey Jack,

This part supports the M-LVDS standard with data rates of up to 250Mbps. The maximum cable length varies with the desired data rate needed, as well as the jitter tolerance of the system. Below is a table that can be used as a reference from various MLVDS parts, their cabling length and the data rate that was achieved:
