USB-C and BC1.2 - can you still support BC1.2 capable devices with USB-C?

Hi team,

Per the subject, there's a bit of confusion regarding USB-C's support for BC1.2 systems that I need help with. I understand that USB-C can support USB2.0/USB3.1 interfaces and USB-PD applications where enabled.

From what I can see, USB-C should fully remove the need for BC1.2. However, what if you plug a BC1.2 device into a USB-C port?

Is there a recommended way to support BC1.2 legacy charging applications using USB-C?

Any devices that can do this?

Thanks,

Jacob
