Hi there,
We have a strange effect happening when we attempt to use the DP83848-EP chip. We are running the chip in RMII mode with Pin39 tied high and Pin6 floating (internally pulled low).
We are finding when powering on and the handshake begins, if Pin5 is left floating, there is no successful communication made, if it is tied to ground then the handshake completes and there is successful comms.
I am not sure why this would be, would you be able to comment on any thoughts that could cause this?
