SN65DSI86: eDP panel level

Hi,

We are preparing to use SN65DSI86 DSI to eDP bridge with AUO eDP panel (G140HAB01.2)

G140HAB01.2 final product spec V1.0_20230519.pdf

The panel main lane signal range is 0.15V to 1.32V and SN65DSI86 is 0.4/0.6/0.8 in differential level, we though it is matching in different mode.

But we are not sure SN65DSI86 can work with the panel cause the panel AUX signal range is 0.4V to 0.8V and SN65DSI86 is 0.18V to 1.38V.

The SN65DSI86 AUX signal is over the panel may cause not working right ? Could the signal range be adjusted by firmware or any suggestion?

Hi,

For the eDP panel, the bottom of the table says that Fallow as VESA display port standard V1.1a. But the AUX differential peak to peak voltage in the DP1.1a spec is the same as the DSI86. Can you double check with the panel vendor and make sure it is not a typo in their eDP panel datasheet?

Hi David,

Panel vender reply that AUX range table is reference to their component and seems that SN65DSI86 range over the their table.

We wonder to know SN65DSI86 can auto or by FW to adjust the AUX signal range?

DSI86 can't adjust its AUX signa voltage range.
