I see below diagram doesn't show the resistor.

CMOS inputs have a very high impedance. In theory, no current flows; in practice, the leakage current is specified as I_IL/I_IH. The only way to make a higher current flow is to exceed the absolute maximum ratings for the I/O voltages.

Hi Iris,

Like Clemens stated, the inputs to this device exhibit a very high impedance with very little leakage current +/- 1uA (max/min).
