Hello,

1. I am designing the IC for x8 application, i also want it to work for only x4 application, will x8 application design support x4 application, no data will be sent through rest x4 lanes, will the IC support it.

    Hi Nachiketh,

    A x8 and x4 application can be designed using the same topology and the DS320PR810. If desired, each channel bank of DS320PR810 can be powered-down and powered-up appropriately using the PD1/PD0 pins of the redriver. These can be controlled by external logic, such as PERST# Iinverted) and/or PRSNTx# signals.
