I am building a custom board using the DP83869HM.
I've built dozens of boards, and I've noticed that on a few boards, LED_0 is on when I boot up and connect to the Ethernet switch.
I have LINK LOSS PASS THRU enabled, so I know that LED_0 shouldn't be on in the first place unless the SD is recognized.
In general, the behavior of my boards is
1. if there is no SD signal, LED_0 stays on for a while and then turns off when connected to the Ethernet switch at boot time.
2. if an SD signal is later recognized, LED_0 turns on.
When reading through MDIO, even though LED_0 is on, it is read as LINK DOWN.
The other Ethernet switch is also lit as LINK ON.
The biggest problem is that
LED_0 turns off when the fiber is connected to the SFF LC fiber connector and then removed.
Do you know anything about these problems?
