DS99R103: Spread Spectrum Clock compatibility

Hi,

I am using the DS99R103/DS99R104 on one of my design.

In my application in order to pass radiated EMI  tests I need to have the data sent over the serializer/deserializer channel with spread spectrum clocking.

I have tried to clock the DS99R103 with a clock with spread spectrum but I see the DS99R104 deserializer loosing lock.

Is the DS99R103 compatible with spread spectrum clocking?

If it is not compatible, are there any similar devices with 24bit input/1 LVDS output with this feature?

    Hi Stefano,

    The DS99R103 can only accept TCLK Input Jitter of 33 ps, so it is not recommended for SSC. Are you looking at only replacing the DS99R103 or replacing both devices?

    Some SERDES pairs with similar functionality and SSC tolerance include

    • DS90UR905Q-Q1 (Serializer), DS90UR906Q-Q1 (Deserializer)
    • DS90UR241 (Serializer), DS90UR124 (Deserializer)
