DS90UH940-Q1: Pin-to-ground impedance for VDD12 pin

Part Number: DS90UH940-Q1

Hi team,

Customer is testing with DS90UH940-Q1 and they found that the pin to ground resistance is varying.

Please help to advise what is the pin-to-ground resistance for pin VDD12

Thanks

  • Hi Henry,

To start off, is the customer measuring DC resistance or impedance? The title refers to impedance while only resistance is mentioned in the text.

    Questions

    • Is the customer connecting the pin to ground resistance to a device failure or is this an arbitrary measurement?
    • Are you able to share the measurements the customer is seeing? This will help me understand their concerns.

    Regards,

    Jack

  • Sorry its impedance, it was typo.

    Regarding your question:

    • Is the customer connecting the pin to ground resistance to a device failure or is this an arbitrary measurement?
      • its  an arbitrary measurement, customer is testing with IET probe and have different readings, abnormal one will trigger IET probe Error alarm, replacing a new DS90uh940 will fix the alarm, please refer to attachemnt
    • Are you able to share the measurements the customer is seeing? This will help me understand their concerns.

  • Hi Henry,

There is no normal impedance measurement we advertise or expect for these pins. Depending on the mode of operation and the input stream, the internal logic will be in various states and this will give various impedance.

The only measurements that we will support are those listed in the datasheet. Any other measurements that are not in the datasheet are not relevant for the device.

    Regards,

    Jack
