Hi,
is the DS90UR906Q deserializer compatible with the DS99R103 serializer?
Thanks

Hi Hamzeh,
for having the DS90UR906Q compatible with DS99R103 serializer, how do I have to set the DS90UR906Q device?
How do I have to set CONFIG[1:0] and MAP_SEL[1:0]?
How are mapped the DIN[23:0] of DS99R103 to the deserialized signals of DS90UR906Q (R[7:0,G[7:0],B[7:0],..)?
Regards
Stefano
Hello Stefano,
why do not you use the companion DES DS99R104 with the DS99R103? This is simpler and just straight forward.
Hi Hamzeh,
we are using the DS99R104 on our designs, but we need on the deserializer the spread spectrum generator function because of radiated emi issue on the product.
So,

Hello Stefano,
The DS99R103 is similar to the DS90C241, hence please use the compatibility mode for the C241 as shown.
I am looking for the bit mapping and will come back to you hopefully by tomorrow.
Hi
I have now on my design the serializer ds99r103 and the deserializer DS90UR906Q.
DS90UR906Q has been configured in compatibility mode for DS90C241, as you have said in previous post.
On the receiver side we do not have the correct data mapping on all the lines.
On some signals we have a replica of the signals that is present on other pin. This happen for those signals:
*R[6]=R[0]
*B[6]=B[0]
*G[6]=G[0]
*R[7]=R[1]
*B[7]=B[1]
*G[7]=G[1]
*HS=R[2]
What is wrong with the deserializer configuration?
Can you help us?
Hi,
I am not sure if I can help you further since these devices are very old (more than 15 years). However, let me search further internally maybe I will find some supporting document.
