Hi Team,

I'm looking for replacement for CY7B923/CY7B933, do we have any available solution on this?

　CY7B923：transmitter、8B10B encoder, clock 16～33MHz

　CY7B933：transceiver、8B10B decoder, clock 16～33MHz

Hi David,

Checked this Cypress board data sheet. This device is not functionally compatible with LMH0397. You can consider using FPGA to do 8/10b coding and take the FPGA ser/des to the LMH0397 device.

Hi Nasser,

Thanks for the response.

My thought is that since the EOL was issued for both the transmitter and the receiver, the 8/10b coding might not be a must for the replacement and general serdes would be capable to support this app. Let me double check with the end user.

Additionally, does TI have any other alternatives for this part?

Hi David,

If the application is for DVB/ASI then 8/10b coding is needed. Please do check with the customer and it may not be required.

Unfortunately, there is not another alternative.
