DP83869HM: copper to fiber media converter

I had Few Queries regarding this IC

1) As per datasheet its for media conversion - i want to use it for IG to 1G ethernet to optical media conversion

2) Can u do conversion Just by changing strap vales or does it require any Intellige device to set the registers of PHY or is both option available.

3) is 1.2V supported or do i need to give 1v only and can i use it without 1.8V.

4) i want to know how eaxctly media conversion can be implemented any ref circuits are available
