TCAN1044A-Q1: RXD internal structure of TCAN1044A-Q1 and TCAN1462-Q1

Part Number: TCAN1044A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN1462-Q1

Hi team,

Customer would like to know if we could share RXD internal structure for TCAN1044A-Q1 and TCAN1462-Q1? Is it push pull or open drain? Whether we have internal pull up or pull down resistor? If so, what is the resistance value?

Thank you

Scarlett

  • Scarlett,

On all TCAN transceivers, the RXD is a push-pull output, so no external pull-up or pull-down is needed. There is an ILKG(OFF)  parameter in the RXD section of the datasheet that gives the leakage current when the device is powered off and there is 5.5V applied to the pin, resulting in 1uA of current. So while there is not one specific pull-up or pull-down resistor determining the output of the pin, you can see that in the off state this pin is effectively high-impedance, and with 1uA at 5.5V, this is effectively 5Mohms.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
