Hi team,
we all know AC gain help insertion loss,
but how does DC gain affect or help the "eye diagram" and how should we set this DC gain level base on customer's design?

Hi,
Please see this app note, https://www.ti.com/lit/wp/slla421/slla421.pdf section 4.2.2 DC Gain Settings Eye Diagram Test.
Thanks
David
sorry, David,
one last question,
why AC gain and DC gain plot are different ?
with same x-axis and y-axis, AC gain plot has higher peak, I wonder what's the difference
Hi,
That higher peak is for EQ16. The DC gain plot is with EQ of 1. The AC gain plot does not show EQ of 1. But with EQ of 2, the gain is around 5.5dB, and EQ of 1 is slightly below 5.5dB.
Thanks
David
