XIO2001: Unable to install driver issue using XIO2001IZWSR

Hi Anna,

The only difference between the two devices is the package.  The die remained the same, so there should be no changes from the device to cause this issue.

The customer tested 2pcs and the issue is the same. Can we remove the XIO2001IZGUR on the circuit board and replace it directly with XIO2001IZWSR?

Yes.  I double checked and it looks like they are both pin-to-pin compatible and the packages have the same mechanical properties.

Communicate with the customer that they have not made any other hardware changes, but have replaced the chip with XIO2001IZWSR. Is there a way for the customer to troubleshoot any hardware issues

What Operating System is being used?  Are there any screenshots or data you can provide to describe the driver installation process?

My recommendation right now is to perform an A-B-A swap.  The description for this is below:

Equipment
Use 1 working board populated with XIO2001IZGUR.
Use 1 failing board populated with XIO2001IZWSR.

Test Procedure
Desolder and swap the XIO2001IZGUR with the XIO2001IZWSR.
Boot the 2 systems
Confirm the board with the XIO2001IZWSR stops working.
Confirm the board with the XIO2001IZGUR can successfully install the driver.
